How we support
Support is what happens in the day
Children here learn in different ways. Some need to hear a lesson more than once, some need longer to write, and some need a calm place to think. We do not sort children by a label. We watch what helps and do more of it.
Teachers and aides keep short notes on what worked. The next teacher reads them, so a child does not start over each year.

What happens
Six things that happen every day
Reading at the table
A small table, an adult, and a book the child can read. The adult listens, points and asks the child to try again.
Extra time
A task is never cut short. A child may finish after lunch or the next morning.
The quiet room
A room with soft light, a rug and a door that stays open. A child asks to go and says when ready to come back.
The checklist
Each desk has a short card: what to do first, next and last. The teacher goes through it with the child at the start of the day.
Saying it again
A lesson is taught again in another way the next day, with objects, a drawing or a story.
Talking with families
A note home each week and a conversation each term, in person, by phone or in Korean where a family prefers it.
Before you apply
Tell us about your child at the visit
Come and tell us what your child finds hard, what helps and what makes the day good. We listen first, and we do not ask for records to begin.
If a place is offered, we ask privately for anything else that would help us teach your child well. The form on this site never asks for it.
Ask how a day would go for your child
Visit mornings are by appointment, from September to May.
